ABOUT LUDOVICO TECHNIQUE

Ludovico Technique is an American Gothic Alternative Metal band from New York City, New York. The band was formed by Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ben V.

Having been featured in Alternative Press, Loudwire, Metal Injection, Orkus!, Post-Punk, Knotfest, as well as #1 on the international iTunes metal charts, added to multiple Spotify editorial playlists, charting on the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts), #1 in sales on Bandcamp, and over 10,000,000 streams on Spotify, Ludovico Technique bring a unique depth, complexity, and excitement to the genre of Gothic Alternative Metal.

Well known for their dark style of music, attention-grabbing image, and energetic live shows, the band rapidly rose to prominence following the release of their debut album, “Some Things are Beyond Therapy.” The follow-up album, “We Came to Wreck Everything,” helped to secure that status.

After extensive touring, Ludovico Technique returned in 2017 with Absence and more live events. In 2021 the band released a barrage of new singles (including “Live As Myself,” “Up to the Flames,” “Embrace,” “Becoming Numb,” “Poisoned,” “Burn Everything,” “I Was,” “Haunted,” and “Noise Is Gone“) which have taken the gothic alternative metal world by storm. 2022 saw the release of the singles “Dreaming”, “Silence”, and “Empty” as well as the full length album “Haunted People”.

When touring, Ben V. typically assembles a live band of nameless wraiths to perform with him.

The band originally drew inspiration from goth industrial acts such as Skinny Puppy and The Sisters of Mercy, yet now, Ludovico Technique have added glimpses of Type O Negative, Rammstein, and Rob Zombie to their unique take on gothic music.
